Our lives are made up of the choices we make. Often times we find ourselves at crossroads, tough decisions to make. Other times its over trivial matters such as what to eat and what to wear. But one thing’s for sure, we’ve all been there. While they may vary in intensity, here’s what you can do when you don’t know what to do:
1. Take it as it comes
Don’t beat yourself up while trying to find something to do. Everyday is different and we don’t always have to find something to do, take it as it comes. There will be a time and space for everything and anything as long as you do what you love, you’ll love what you do.
2. Clean-up therapy
Cleaning can be an unconventional form of stress relieve. Often times it brings back nostalgic memories from keeping the things that are lying around, perhaps a concert ticket from the month before or a card from your loved ones. Cleaning and revamping your room can help you clear up the mess in your life, perhaps even rekindling a dream that was left hanging. While some may enjoy the process, others may believe that ” If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?” But in any case give it a try, put some music on and get cleaning!
3. Go on an adventure
Take a breather. Sometimes the most important lessons in life are not taught in the classroom or at the workplace but really when you take a step back and learn to treat yourself. Learn something new, go on a bag-packing trip with your friends, visit an orphanage, look for good food, climb a mountain, do something crazy, start a campaign, meditate and just hang loose. Life’s not meant to be lived in one place.
4. Sleep on it
You know sometimes when you just have too many things to do so you just decide to not do anything at all? Yep, do just that and sleep on it.
